New York starts work on data grid for disaster recovery - Computerworld
Well this sounds like an interesting idea. I wonder how often these companies will be required to back up... if they back up more than once a week, will they pay more? I assume this will cost money. Why is this better than backing up the information yourself to a remote location?
Even better thought- who is in control of all this information? How will it be protected? This will be a hackers heaven- so much information stored in three possible locations... tasty!!
