Well OK so the computer situation is still not resolved... I can get on the dern thing.. but it will still beep at me sometimes. This is of course not acceptable, so I am bringing it in tomorrow so Kevin and I can troubleshoot. Actually its more like me sitting there watching Kevin troubleshoot.
However, I did get landmoose connected to the wireless network, which I am suprised that worked. AND I played WoW on here for like 2 hours... SOOO much better than the laptop! Such crisp images and hardly any lag on my end. Rock my box I was excited!
So the computer has been on for quite a while now and no freezing or mishaps.. but I garuntee if I turn it off and try to turn it on I will get BIOS 26 error... grrr.. why?!
I am attempting to move my music files from my laptop to my desktop... taking a while with the wireless but its working so thats good enough for me!
This blog reflects the thoughts and views of me alone. Not my employer. Its mostly just news and what I have learned on my travels through the interwebs.

The Beast lives.... we think
Wow.. after endless tries and BIOS beeping thingies my pooter FINALLY works. Well, all except for the card reader, but Im not too concerned about that, the wireless works, which makes me very happy. I am sure there will still be some problems... but nothing that we can't fix.
Kudos to Kevin though... so dedicated! We finally narrowed the problem down to the fact that it was not running in dual channel mode... somehow Kevin got it up and working and now it restarts all wonderful! w00t!
The monitor is SO kick ass... I do not know how anyone can buy a cmopy nowadays and get a CRT.
We are going to attempt some overclocking... so it can make my computer even more badass!!
Yay!

Oh yes.. its computers fault
Little Billy Gates Benefited From Not Having a PC
Well, I thought it couldn't get any more ridiculous... but I guess it's possible. I have no idea where these parents get these crazy ideas, video games and computers are obviously the new devils of the century. Never mind the fact that parents are spending less time with their kids and what not... that has NOTHING to do with this hoo ha.
I believe overclockers has a wonderful rebuttal, and basically shoots it down... and trample it with their motherboards.

Oh deer....
Current Mood: hopeful
Current Music: "Somnambulist" -BT
What a fun day yesterday was! I ordered my computer, went out for St. Patty's Day, hit a deer...
Ha ha, yeah, a deer... needless to say my car is not legally drivable now. Whoops! Thank goodness I didn't get rid of comp on my car yet! I spent all morning trying to sort things out, get estimates, and figure out how I will get around while my car gets fixed... w00t.
Ever have those moments where you are so sad and lonely then like three seconds later you are happy and hopeful? Yeah I am having one of those days. Kevin definately put it into perspective: I'm going to DC soon, going to a new school, meeting new people... it's probably better I am not dating someone. Hooray for someone telling me how it is and how I shouldn't worry about it.
I plan on putting the specs to my computer up soon.... been sorta busy lately. Did I mention I am building it with the help of the guys over here? Yeah awesome!!
I suggest everyone go to www.fragdolls.com and see just how good girls can be at gaming. *sigh* best job ever!!

OKCupid! presents: The Alcohol Knowledge Test
| Bourbon Congratulations! You're 116 proof, with specific scores in beer (80) , wine (66), and liquor (60). |
|
Screw all that namby-pamby chick stuff, you're going straight for the bottle and a shot glass! It'll take more than a few shots of Wild Turkey or 99 Bananas before you start seeing pink elephants. You know how to handle your alcohol, and yourself at parties. |
|
My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

Sweet I'm from Buffalo!
You Know You're From Buffalo When... |
When speaking "the" precedes the number or name of any highway (The Scajaquada, The 33, The 290) Snow tires come standard on your car. You can identify an "Alden" accent. You have gotton frost bitten and sunburned in the same weekend "Down south" means Gowanda You bake with "soda" and drink "pop". Stop/Slow/Yield Signs..are suggestions. You can hold an entire conversation on the best place to go for wings, a fishfry or pizza. You see nothing wrong with watching fireworks downtown on July 2nd. You not only know what the terms "snowbelt" and "lake effect" mean - you use them on a daily basis. You save the Genny Cream Ale for special occasions. You live within 1 mile of a bowling alley. Not only do you know what it is... but you look forward to "Dingus Day" You never put your winter jacket away for the summer. You like to order beef on "weck" and are always surprised when someone doesn't know what "weck" is. You drive over 70mph on the Thruway and pass on the right. You leave your ski lift tickets on your jacket year round. You know how to pronouce, Scajaquada, Cheektowaga and Depew. The rest of the country is snowbound in the worst blizzard of the century, but you still have to walk your kids to the corner to catch the school bus. You think nothing of crossing an international border for Chinese Food. The acid rain is clearer than your drinking water. When you stop and ask for directions ... you expect to get them. You don't think Canada is to the north ... you know it's to the West. You keep the snowplow on the front of the truck year round. You have a favorite Greek restaurant. When someone says they are from "the City" - you ask "Which one?" You think Jimmy Griffin is a "real" politician You can compute a wind chill "factor" You eat Orange Chocolate. You don't have to attend the Friendship Festival to hear it! You know the difference between imported and real Canadian beer. You have not been on the "Maid of the Mist" - unless you had out of town company. You've dined at "Theodore's on the Lake". You immediatley change the channel when you hear "Hi! this is Goldie Gardner...". The winter carnival gets rained out. You call them "Pilot Field" and the "Aud" - no matter what the signs say. You define summer as three months of bed sledding. Your kids have watched Sesame Street - in French and Spanish. You don't get a coughing fit from one sip of Vernors. "Gridlock" means driving home from a football game. You wince when someone uses the abbreviation "OJ". "Rapid Transit" means hitting all the green lights. You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends from Buffalo. |

I think this kid (and his lawyer) are at the bottom of the gene pool on this one... this means I can justify going around stabbing people in the back because I play a rogue in WoW and I play for hours on end, therefore teaching me how... umm hello! I click a button people... ahhh I *love* society today

Since U Been Gone
Kelly Clarkson
Kelly Clarkson
Here's the thing
We started out friends
It was cool, it was all pretend
Yeah, yeah, since you been gone
You dedicated, you took the time
Wasn't long, till I called you mine
Yeah, yeah, since you been gone
And all you'd ever hear me say
Is how I'd picture me with you
That's all you'd ever hear me say
But since you been gone
I can breathe for the first time
I'm so moving on, yeah yeah
Thanks to you
Now I get, what I want
Since you been gone
How can I put it, you put me on
I even fell for that stupid love song
Yeah, yeah, since you been gone
How come I'd never hear you say
I just wanna be with you
Guess you never felt that way
But since you been gone
I can breathe for the first time
I'm so moving on, yeah yeah
Thanks to you
Now I get, what I want
Since you been gone
You had your chance, you blew it
Out of sight, out of mind
Shut your mouth, I just can't take it
Again and again, and again and again
Since you been gone, (since you been gone)
I can breathe for the first time
I'm so moving on, yeah yeah
Thanks to you
Now I get, I get what I want
I can breathe for the first time
I'm so moving on, yeah yeah
Thanks to you
You should know that I get
I get what I want
Since you been gone
Since you been gone
Since you been gone Lol... all these songs I am strangely tied to... couldn't imagine why.... :)
