Brain Studies... the difficulty of hearing women

Brain Studies... the difficulty of hearing women That's all they need... yet another excuse :)

Well now....

WELL.... what a Thursday night. NOT was I was expecting at all. McFadden's *as always* was a blast. Bring You Own Cup night = cheap beer. Wow... I do not know what to say about that night. I was happy, very happy. Of course, all super happy things come to an end. Guess I just need to wait and see... I hate waiting! But it's ok. I'm ok. I am more than ok. I just do not want to wait, everything is out in the open...how will it end? It could end up as a crash and burn, something super frickin sweet (like Ligers.. they are sweet), or nothing. Oh the apprehension is killing me!!

VoIP wiretapping rules to be considered - Government & Law - Breaking Business and Technology News at silicon.com

VoIP wiretapping rules to be considered - Government & Law - Breaking Business and Technology News at silicon.com

Well we all knew this was going to happen sooner or later. I find it sorta scary how the government can use the blanket statement "terrorists use this" to allow eavesdropping on communications. Terrorists use telephones, e-mail, the internet, just about anything normal humans use... so what does that mean? Terrorists drive cars, should we place bugs in cars too?

Blech!

Current Mood: uneasy
Current Music: some sappy song

I couldn't fall alseep tonight. My mind has been racing non-stop. Regretfully not on some amazing idea that might revolutionize the world today as we know it. No, it's about stupid things that I have been trying to nicely avoid thinking about because when I do I go crazy!

I regress....

This weekend was pretty sweet. Thursday I went out for some awesome Indian food with Ewan (there was a dress code... can you believe it??). I could feel myself become hoi polloi just by munching on my Nam Bread. Then I went to the Marvin Center and watched Batman Begins with some people, and afterwards we walked mindlessly around DC trying to find somewhere to eat, which , suprisingly was sorta hard to do. Friday I went to a Korean Film Fesitval with Elizabeth (so great!!) and watched an awesome movie about Canadians (called FUBAR I believe, one of the guys has a mullet!). Saturday was glorious shopping with Ewan, who was not very helpful in helping me pick out clothes, but did witness one of my laughing outbursts (he handled it very well). THEN, Kaitlin came over and we went to that operationceasfire concert, which, aside from the political mumbo jumbo, was super great (Theivery Corporation rocks!) Sunday wrapped up the weekend with Kaitlin and I going to the National Zoo, seeing a panda, and me telling Kaitlin I want a domesticated (read: potty trained) Tiger for my birthday.

All in all, a good weekend... and I even fit some homework in there! Crazy go nuts.

Of course, all good things come to an end. I found something I wrote about Bill the other day. It was kinda like me ranting (like this thing!) about him and how I felt and whatnot. Wow. Very intense. It shows a lot about my train of thought. Let's take said excerpt:

Grrr… too bad I do not know how he feels about me. On the phone he sounded all cute and made it sound like he wants me to come down. He would be talking and say things like, “just so you know… I do x and x”, sorta like he’s telling me for future reference.

I know I am reading WAAAAAYYY too far into this. I hate it, why can’t I just ask him? What’s the worst that can happen? He says he doesn’t feel that way and I go about my life. It’s not like I see him every week or anything. Ha ha.. if I get it my way I have about 84 days until I see him. CRAP.

Does everyone see how I KNOW I read too far into things, yet continue to do it anyways?? From this I take away a couple of things:

  • I'm crazy
  • Maybe I am a hopeless romantic
  • I read too far into things
  • I guess I liked Bill
  • I have a hard time expressing how I feel, for fear of rejection (this can be justified however, as seen with what happened with Bill and me, of course it might have been my lack of communication that started it... crap)
  • Me doing this list thus proves how I read too far into things

I guess I can't say I didn't learn from the expereince, however reading it I sensed some deja vu. I wish to leave it all alone and continue on academic persuits. Unless of course, some awesome guy just flat out tells me how he feels (read: it falls into my lap), then that's fine.

I love how I do not follow my own advice!

Well hooray for everything going relatively well! School is going as well as can be expected. I went rock climbing and played tennis this weekend, I know I am such a busy little bee. We also had our house party this weekend. Yay to everyone who came out! I had a great time, if you have any pics please send some to me! I would also like to point out that I beat John at Blades of Steel 11-5 (well it probably would have been more, but he restarted the game).

I spent soo much money this weekend, I am NOT going out until next weekend. Let's see how well I stick to that. This will give me plenty of time to study (oh yay)

And the scars remind us, that the past is real....

Current Mood: content
Current Music: Scars - Papa Roach

I love talking to people I have not talked to in a long time. For example, Andy, talking to him was such a surprise and comfort. It's nice to have people from the past come back just to catch up and see how I am doing. And today I got an IM from Chris, someone who was such a big part of my life a long time ago, it is a shame we don't talk more. Anyways, he had heard about all this stuff going on in my life (moving to DC, and of course other things), and wanted to know how I am. We talked for a long time, it was wonderful!

Another awesome thing I did today was play racquetball for the first time... so fun! Very stress relieving. Rob was an excellent teacher. I hope to play once a week.

I also just want to say for the record that Chris is the awesomest guy on the planet, his last IM was this:

One last thought. You take what people say for face value and dont give it a meaning that it doesn't have. This is the reason why i believe it is easy to talk to someone like you. You dont have to worry about being taken the wrong way. Thats a great quality to have, dont ever lose it.

I love my friends, they are the best :)
